I found this article some days ago, and bookmarked it asap, knowing that I will definitely write a post about it. First of all, it’s about a job. And an interesting one.

Hell yeah. Besides, it’s in Australia! As a child, I’ve always wanted to live there, I was totally addicted to it. (Can you be addicted to a continent/country, by the way?) Later, I decided to stick with New Zealand, because it’s not so dry, and a penfriend of mine told me that the beer was better there. Not like I drink beer. It’s just good to know.

“The job pays 150,000 Australian dollars (105,000 US dollars) and includes free airfares from the winner’s home country to Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland‘s state government announced on Tuesday.

In return, the “island caretaker” will be expected to stroll the white sands, snorkel the reef, take care of “a few minor tasks” — and report to a global audience via weekly blogs, photo diaries and video updates.”

Can I have it please?

“Naturally my hair has got this brownish colour, which is boring as hell, but this time it will become somewhat lighter and more… like a lovely haircolour.” I take this back – it’s quite dark. Like chocolate. Because, if she would have dyed it light brown, it would have faded away within some days – this way, it will take about 2 weeks, and then I need to go back again, to dye it again, until My Blonde Side gives this fight up, and lets me become brown. Light brown, probably.

I’m really in love with this haircolour, though, even if the first thought that came to mind while sitting in front of the mirror was “I look like a ghost. No… like that evil little girl from The Ring!” The fact that my hairdresser brushed my hair into my face didn’t help much, either.

Just like this and this post, this was taken from my other blog. And so will all other posts be, but only those under the Rosier Writes… category. Easy, huh?

I’m so sick of stereotypes. Like brunettes are clever, redheads are hot, and blondes are just hopeless. Especially those, who dyed their hair this colour. My hair is naturally kind of brownish, but I decided to change it last year, because I knew that blonde would suit me, too, since I had this haircolour until I was 10.

1. Among your friends, who could be blown over by a strong wind?
   Do I count as my friend? If yes, then me – I just wouldn’t be able to deal with one more ‘strong wind’. Moving, family drama, and school issues are just enough, thank you.
2. What’s something in your house you occasionally wind?
   Nothing, actually.
3. Is there some significant gossip you’ve recently gotten wind of?
   I’m not into gossip that much, so, I guess not.
4. Where is the windiest place you’ve ever been?
   We used to go camping to Croatia quite often, and once there was this heavy wind, which almost blew us away. It was scary! But I don’t consider it the windiest place. I could mention Vienna and Hungary, as well, but I know myself enough to understand that any place that has to do with wind is already too windy for my tastes.
5. What do you do, on a typical day, to unwind?
   Read books, blogs, magazines, listen to music, write, and/or catch up with my favourite animes and series.

And now let’s take a look at a 30-something’s point of view.

“And I hate to say it but you kids today you don’t know how good you’ve got it! I mean, when I was a kid we didn’t have The Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!!” Uhm, okay. But you know, I happen to go to the library quite often, because you can’t find EVERYTHING on the internet. We use books, too. If you happen to do the same, get a dictionary and look up the word “stereotype”.

“There were no MP3′s or Napsters! You wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself! Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ’d usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up!” So, you are saying that we are spoiled, because we don’t have to steal nowadays? Ooookay. And by the way: When we don’t know the name of a song, or the artist, or basically anything of it, but we’ve heard it somewhere, we have to pay attention to the radio, as well. Just so you know.

“When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your mom, your boss, your bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you just didn’t know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!” I still have no idea who it is, when someone calls me. Because the number is normally hidden. Beat this, duh.

“Sure, we had cable television, but back then that was only like 15 channels and there was no on screen menu and no remote control! You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on!” I don’t watch TV, to be honest. I download buy the episodes of my favourite series, because neither of the channels I have is airing them! Even if it’s cable television. So, you can earase this nonsense, too. Cable tv doesn’t help, at all.

“You kids today have got it too easy. You’re spoiled… You guys wouldn’t have lasted five minutes back in 1980!” And you wouldn’t last for five seconds in the future 2020. Luckily, we would. Because we are some spoiled brats, who, even though have got is oh-so effing easy, know what LIFE is. Working all day. I bet you didn’t have to study all day when you were this young… because you definitely had some spare time to steal music from shops.

2.) …stick with my plan to stay away from Him, a.k.a. my crush-like someone: We went home together and had a lot of fun, laughter, and you know, it was kind of awesome. I didn’t forget to mention that he is an asshole for not saying “hi” when we meet in the corridors at school, and made him promise not to do this again – or else, I’ll just act like he doesn’t exist. I’ve done it before*, I would be able to do it again.

3.) …catch up with blogs: Because I decided to log in MSN and do some Blogthings quizzes and share the results with my Mum. You couldn’t say a lamer excuse than this, could you? Anywho, it’s true! And it was funny, too. There were times when she was like “*nods* That’s absolutely like you!” and times when she moaned, saying “What’s wrong with the result of this quiz. It sucks! Take another one!” Doing this is a great (and wierd) way of spending family time** together.

4.) …watch Gossip Girl Episode 15: I had to learn? And do quizzes on Blogthings? And share them with my Mum?

**Must love this site! I didn’t know it existed until 5 minutes ago.

The other reason might be that we are under way more pressure than men. We must look beautiful, be clever, caring, a good housewife (in the future… but we do have to learn cooking, do the dishes and other housework to “practice” for our future lives…) and be good at work/school, too. Isn’t that too much already?

But the whole concept of the blog was to create a space for myself, where I can write about anything, and I don’t want to feel guilty for chasing people away with my frankness.

I’ll see how things work out at home, and write a post about everything that has happened since this and this. Until then ~

Second, I’ve been accepted for hosting at winter-rain.com! It will stay the same blogging site (maybe I’ll add some of my graphics, like avatars… I’m proud of those!), so the concept won’t change. Probably the design will be better (even if it’s not made by me – sorry, I fail at coding), and if I really add those articles from SM, the quality might get better, as well.

I guess these are good things? Really good ones? I need some optimism in my life now – after I finish writing this post, I’ll catch up with some blogs (because, seriously, some addictions can’t be defeated, no matter what), and get back to learning Geography. Way too many tests are coming tomorrow! Want to buy break.

In case you wondered what my pet peeves are (and even if you didn’t), here’s the list! (I’m really into lists lately, aren’t I? And using brackets.)

1.) I bite my nails. Well, not exactly. I tear them, but it’s quite similar to biting. Let’s say, the result is the same. And it’s gross. I’ve read somewhere, that putting on fake nails is a good way of quitting this bad habit. Oh, and I’m sure that I didn’t mention, that I’ve recently found out that there’s a beauty salon near my place (a.k.a. the good side of moving). It costs much, though, and I would definitely not be able to pay for that every month – only for one. I wonder, whether it’s a good idea or not?

2.) I bite my lips. I have a thing for biting things. Do you know the expression “I had to bite my lip to keep from saying anything”? That might be one of the reasons! I’m having a hard time hiding my feelings, (and right now it’s even harder – after moving, here comes The Big Family Drama!) so I bite my lips whenever I feel like I’m about to become too frank. For example, at school. And seriously – I don’t want to be the centre of gossip, just because I said a ‘mean’ thing (=honest opinion) about The Girl Who is A Hypocrite And Definitely An Evil Gossip. No, thanks.

3.) I jabber. Sometimes I talk way too fast for people to understand me and it’s effing irritating. So, I either think too fast or have dealt with some traumas. Who knows? I do.

4.) I gesticulate. Seriously, when I talk, my hands just can’t stop, I show this and that, and everyone thinks, I’m an idiot. It’s a sign of being honest, though… tzk. I normally go home with my Crush (or my Ex-Crush? Does something like that exist?) and he once told me what a bad habit it is. Oh, and that I always look away, when I talk. Uhm, sorry…?

This should be enough. How many pet peeves does a normal person have? I guess I’m way over it, already.
